Elementary Science Education

Elementary Science Education (ESE) is published as two dedicated issues within the Journal of Science Teacher Education (JSTE) as of Volume 21 (2010).  The ESE dedicated issues serves to provide discussion of a broad range of concepts, theories, and issues and dissemination of the knowledge base for professionals. The purpose of ESE is to communicate ideas, theories, research, and field-oriented information related to supervision, curriculum, and instruction in elementary science education. The journal features both of research articles and pragmatic articles which inform universities with teacher education programs, elementary schools, and local and state education agencies.

Guidelines for Submission:
You do not need to be a member of the Association for Science Teacher Education (ASTE) in order to submit a manuscript. However, information and applications for membership of the ASTE can be obtained through the Join Us link above.

Springer uses a fully web-enabled online manuscript submission and review system. Our online manuscript submission and review system offers authors the option to track the progress of the review process of manuscripts in real time. Manuscripts should be submitted online via http://www.editorialmanager.com/jste/ and select Elementary Science Education as the article type.

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscript no longer than 25 pages, following the guidelines of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (most recent edition). Manuscripts should not have been published nor be under consideration for publication in any other journal.

ESE Editorial Board Reviewers must be members in good standing of ASTE. These individuals should have experience publishing in and reviewing manuscripts for professional refereed journals. A call for nominations for the ESE Editorial Board will be issued in the spring.
 

Individuals wishing to serve as ESE Guest Reviewers also must be members in good standing of ASTE. These individuals should have experience in publishing in professional referred journals and prior experience reviewing for conference proposals and/or referred journals is preferred.
